Statement: Chief Fire Officer Wayne Brown

West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service have released a formal Statement following the tragic passing of Chief Fire Officer Wayne Brown on 24th January 2024.

“We are devastated to report that our Chief Fire Officer, Wayne Brown, was this morning (24 January) found dead at his home address.

The death is not being treated as suspicious by West Midlands Police.

All our thoughts and love are with his family, his friends and his colleagues.

We ask everyone that his family and his colleagues are given time and space at this tragic time.”

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service have commented on Facebook: “Sincere and heartfelt condolences sent to Wayne’s family, friends and colleagues at West Midlands Fire Service from everyone at Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service”

 

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (Official)  also on Facebook have said: “Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Wayne’s family, friends and all his colleagues at West Midlands Fire Service. Our thoughts are with you, from everyone at Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service”
