Innovative fire system safeguards accessible living space

A forward-thinking family in Beer, Devon, has set a new standard for home fire safety by incorporating Plumis’ Automist system into their new build to help protect their 20-year-old daughter, who is living with a disability.

Designed to enhance safety while maintaining the home’s aesthetic appeal, the installation demonstrates the growing role of innovative fire suppression systems in residential projects.

The family’s project centred around creating a home that balances functionality and design, including a dedicated living space for their daughter. A key challenge in the home’s design was ensuring that all areas, including shared spaces like the kitchen and living room, could be safely navigated in the event of a fire.
