Long Service and Good Conduct Award Celebrations

On the evening of Thursday, 20th February 2025, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) held their Long Service and Good Conduct Award Ceremony at The Plough, Rhosmaen for Service Personnel, in recognition of 20, 30 or 40-years in Service.

The awards were presented by Chief Fire Officer Roger Thomas KFSM and His Majesty’s, Deputy Lieutenant of Dyfed, Mr Rowland Rees-Evans. Additional guests included Deputy Lieutenant of Powys Ceri Havard, Vice Lord Lieutenant of West Glamorgan Mr Martin Trainer, and Deputy Chair of MAWW Fire Authority Councillor John Davies.

The awards were divided into groups – Northern Division, Southern Division, Western Division and Headquarters Service personnel. Everyone was welcomed to stage, individually to receive their award along with a framed Certificate of their achievement.

Chief Fire Officer Roger Thomas said:

“The evening is about celebration and a chance to acknowledge the incredible dedication from Service colleagues for all their hard work and years of commitment to reach their milestone of 20, 30 and 40-years’ in Service. It was a privilege to welcome dignitaries, colleagues and their families to the awards this year.

I would like to thank all that contributed to making the ceremony the success that it was, with special thanks to The Plough, Rhosmaen for a spectacular venue.”

The evening was a special opportunity to celebrate Long Service and Good Conduct achievements from Service personnel. Showing appreciation, loyalty and recognition to the remarkable efforts, hard work and dedication to the Fire Service throughout the years. Congratulations to all.
