Entries now open for the Excellence in Fire & Emergency Awards 2025

FIRE magazine and publisher Fire Knowledge – in partnership with PGI and Gore-Tex Fabrics and supported on the day by BT Means Business – are pleased to announce that this year’s Excellence in Fire & Emergency Awards are now open for entry.

Commenting on the awards, FIRE Editor Andrew Ledgerton-Lynch OBE said: “We are delighted to welcome back so many category sponsors to this year’s awards which shine a spotlight on the incredible work emergency services personnel undertake to keep the public safe. We also highlight safety and wellbeing, culture and inclusion, team working, community engagement, innovation, and heroism in a true celebration of excellence in emergency service provision.”

The Excellence in Fire & Emergency Awards 2024 was well received with winners and attendees celebrating together. In response to winning the Most Influential Woman in Fire Award, Colette Black, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, said: “It is an incredible honour and one which I have felt humbled by. Throughout my career I have been supported by and inspired by leaders and colleagues who have given me support and a platform to progress.

“There’s still work to do to ensure that everyone in the Fire and Rescue Service has the opportunity to thrive. My hope is that awards and recognition like this inspires other women in fire to step forward, pursue leadership, and trust in their abilities.

“Together, we can overcome barriers, support one another, and make the Fire Service a place where we all thrive and lead to best serve our communities.”
