Nominations are now open for the Excellence in Fire & Emergency Awards 2026, providing an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements, innovation and dedication of those working across the fire and emergency services sector.
Now in its twelfth year, the prestigious awards recognise the individuals, teams, projects and organisations that are driving positive change, improving public safety and making a lasting impact within their communities and across the profession. The awards showcase excellence in leadership, collaboration, resilience, innovation, inclusion, training, health and wellbeing, operational performance and lifetime achievement.
Organised by FIRE magazine, the awards bring together fire and rescue services, emergency services, industry partners, suppliers and sector leaders from across the UK and beyond to recognise and celebrate excellence within the profession.
With a wide range of categories available, nominations are encouraged from across the sector. Whether recognising an inspiring leader, an innovative project, an exceptional team, a community champion or an individual who has dedicated decades of service to the profession, the awards aim to shine a spotlight on those whose work often goes beyond expectation.
The nomination window is now open and will close on Monday 31 August 2026. Following the judging process in September, finalists will be announced later in the year ahead of the awards ceremony.
Winners will be revealed at the Excellence in Fire & Emergency Awards ceremony on Friday 27 November 2026 at the prestigious One Great George Street, London, where the sector will come together to celebrate the achievements of those making a real difference.
Nominations can be submitted via the Excellence in Fire & Emergency Awards website. Those wishing to recognise an outstanding colleague, team, organisation or initiative are encouraged to submit their entries before the deadline.
