New Year, New Focus

New Year, New Focus

Andrew Chilvers

Led by our new editor, Andrew Chilvers, we are taking the opportunity to start the new year with a fresh view on everything happening within the fire sector.

We have spoken to leaders in brigades, suppliers, and supporters during the past months and as well as a new look we will be focusing on the areas that you have told us are important. FIRE magazine will be:

  • A publication grounded in policy and operational excellence, covering:
    • the relationship with government, joining in national and international conversations
    • economics – funding and financial pressures
    • the human angle – storytelling about trust, wellbeing and the community
    • exciting new technology and innovation shaping the sector
    • the legal standards and regulations you need to know about
  • A learning platform producing relevant and informative content and supporting this with webinars and podcasts
  • A community voice connecting people in the Fire sector through shared learning

You have told us that you want you want to be able to read print magazines again, so from January 2026 you will be able to subscribe to either digital only or print and digital.

Please contact [email protected] for more information.  Already have a digital subscription and want to start getting print issues as well? No problem, just contact us and we’ll be delighted to set that up for you.
