After years of successful international incarnations, the leading event for mitigating the consequences of the most costly disasters is coming to Messe Frankfurt. On the 15th and 16th of May, Disasters Expo Europe will be making its European debut, set to bring together thousands of visiting professionals in the disaster management and emergency response sectors.
Along with providing a networking space for an international community of professionals, the event will also have an educational focus. The programme for the event is set to feature over 100 expert-led seminars, including keynote speeches by representatives from the World Bank, the iFaw, European Space Agency, and many other highly respected establishments.
It seems as if the event couldn’t have come at a better time, with Europe experiencing a historic year in 2023 in terms of intense weather and disasters. With over €9 billion in damages caused by thunderstorms, the highest-costing damages ever recorded for events of this nature in the area, it’s clear that there’s progress to be made in terms of preparedness and response in the continent.
Similarly, it’s worth noting that 2023 was the hottest year on record, with the prevailing scientific opinion being that climate change is a massive influence on weather events and disasters.
With that in mind, it only makes sense that Disasters Expo Europe is also going to play host to hundreds of exhibitors, each showcasing their products, solutions, and technologies related to managing disasters, aiding in recovery, or supporting sustainability, arguably managing the problem at its root. This will give professionals in the field a unique chance to find relevant solutions in person, get live demonstrations, and even talk with the creators.
Disasters Expo is the brainchild of Fortem International, a widely renowned, globally recognized organizer and producer of various B2B trade shows. With offices all over the world, the company has become well known for hosting events across the United States, UK, Europe and beyond.
With a strong history of successful events and hundreds of tickets already reserved, Disasters Expo Europe is set to be an essential event for the international emergency response and disaster community.
Tickets for the event are free of charge for all professionals working within the field of disasters
