On Friday, 20th June, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) welcomed the High Sheriff of West Glamorgan Diana Stroia, High Sheriff of Dyfed Ann Jones DL and High Sheriff of Powys Sally Roberts for an annual visit to Service Headquarters and Carmarthen Fire Station.

All three High Sheriffs are newly sworn and were eager to learn more about how the Service works and the support they provide to the communities they serve.

They initially met with Chief Fire Officer Roger Thomas who introduced them to their Executive Leadership Team, where they discussed their Emergency Response, Prevention and Protection work and the Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP 2040).

Followed by a tour of Carmarthen Fire Station, where they had the opportunity to meet representatives from the Community Safety team who provided some examples of the work they do to keep their communities safe.
